Q) What type of programs does SNATIKA offer?

We offer a broad range of Masters programs. Click here to know more

Q) Are programs at SNATIKA self paced?

Yes, the programs are self paced. The study material can be accessed from the LMS from any place with internet connectivity. However, upon completion of a program the students have to complete assignments/assessments within the scheduled deadlines..

Q) I have never taken an online course before. What should I expect?

The online course is the same as the course you would have taken in a class except for the fact that the medium of delivery is online and you get to learn peacefully from the comfort of your home. There are no classmates. Studies show online students tend to achieve the same learning results in half the time as classroom- based students.

Q) What happens if I am not able to start the program on time or not able to finish the program on schedule?

SNATIKA programs are self-paced with definite start dates for each stage. In the event that the learner isn’t able to start or finish the program as per schedule then the learner can complete his program as per the schedule of his next immediate batch start date.

Q) What are the advantages of taking classes online?

Convenience and flexibility are the most common advantages of online classes. Taking classes online is ideal for someone who wants to continue working while earning a master’s degree. Online classes allow you to fit school into your schedule when it’s convenient for you.

Q) How much time would I need to spend on studying every week?

The recommended number of study hours per week is 8-10 hrs.

Q) Do I have to buy a book for my online course?

SNATIKA provides unit-wise learning content to its learners through our LMS. However, some courses might require additional reading material to be bought by the learner. It is also advisable to go through the recommended Online links and journals to add to your knowledge.

Q) Do I have access to the e-library?

Our learners are provided membership to one of the world's largest digital libraries which has 1 million ebooks, audiobooks, comics, and other types of content. The books can be accessed through the attractive and easy-to-use app. You can access documents/presentations/projects, self- published books, journals and various scientific documents.

Q) Is there a minimum qualification for this program?

Program eligibility criteria for any of SNATIKA Masters Programs are broadly divided into two audiences – Graduate/Post Graduate: Any learner whose highest academic qualification is a graduation/post- graduation needs to have a minimum of 10 years of work experience with a minimum of 2 years of domain managerial experience (mandatory team handling) for the desired program. Non-Graduate: Any learner whose highest academic qualification is lower than graduation needs to have a minimum of 15 years of work experience with a minimum of 5 years of domain managerial experience (mandatory team handling) for the desired program.

Q) What are the document (digital copy) requirements for applying for SNATIKA Programs?

Applicants are also evaluated on their proficiency in written English.

Q) Do I have to send a transcript with my application? Where do I send it?

Please submit the transcripts of your last academic qualification. You need only digital copies of the same to be uploaded during your online admission application submission.

Q) My transcript is not in English. What should I do?

If the official transcripts and/or degree certificate(s) are not in English, our program requires an official English translation for processing your admission form. Self-attested copies of original academic documents are accepted.

Q) English isn’t my 1 st language; can I apply for the program?

Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate their English proficiency by submitting scores from a standardized English Language Proficiency Test. For more details please write to us at admissions@snatika.com

Q)  Do I need to speak English to attend a program?

While our programs are open to a global audience of executives, proficiency in written and spoken English at a level that allows full engagement and participation in a program is mandatory.

Q) Is my admission guaranteed upon submission of the admission application form?

No, admission is only assured once you receive your admission offer letter post your personal interview with the academic committee. Your admission is only guaranteed by making the necessary payments as per the agreed schedule.

Q) What is the admission process?

It is a 4-step admission process as mentioned below: Step 1 – Fill out the Admission Application Form online and upload the requested documents and submit. Step 2 – The application will be scrutinized for suitability by SNATIKA. Step 3 – Once Shortlisted you will receive the offer letter for joining the program. Step 4 – You will need to make full payment of the program fee as guided in the offer letter. In case you are opting for an instalment option then you have to show your preference at the time of filling out your application form.

Q) Is an interview required for the application?

Yes, an admissions interview is required of all SNATIKA program applicants. This is scheduled after your application is accepted by our admission team. You are issued an offer letter only after you clear the interview. The interview is done by a senior member of the academic committee normally by the Director of Education or Head of Department.

Q) What’s the purpose of the interview?

Your interview will be a one-on-one discussion with a senior member of the admissions committee. You will share your career progression story, and your reasons for pursuing the SNATIKA program, and will have an opportunity to learn more about SNATIKA. During the interview, your English language skills and your domain experience related to the program applied for will be verified. The interview typically lasts 30-45 minutes. All such meetings are done virtually; applicants needn’t travel anywhere for the same.

Q) Must learners be employed full-time?

We expect learners to hold full-time employment throughout the program. As members of a professional learning community, learners bring real-world experience and can immediately apply academic concepts gained through assignments/projects in their workplaces. However, the Admissions Committee is willing to review and consider applicants who currently do not hold full- time positions.

Q) Is financial corporate sponsorship required for admission?

Financial corporate sponsorship is not a factor in the admissions process. We have both self-funded and corporate-sponsored learners undergoing our programs.

Q) What process should I follow if my employer has agreed to provide full or partial financial sponsorship for my degree?

Candidates who are receiving full or partial financial sponsorship from their employers should report this information post submitting the online admission application to admissions@snatika.com.

Q) Is the programme open to applicants from all nationalities?

The programme is open to applicants from all nations.

Q) What are my options if seats for a particular program date are already filled?

The batch size for our programs is specifically limited due to various reasons, regulatory requirements; maximising learner experience and interaction with SME/Facilitators, and other operational reasons. Due to this limitation, often seats for a program date get filled much earlier than the last date. – So, it's important to enrol early and to pay in full immediately to guarantee your seat in the program. In case seats are not available for a particular batch then, you can be placed on a waitlist for that iteration/program date. If a program seat becomes available (e.g. if another participant cancels, transfers to a different date, etc), wait-listed individuals will be contacted on a first-come, first- served basis. You can take early admission to the next drive to avoid such a situation.

Q) Can I transfer or defer to a different program start date?

To transfer or deferral to a different start date, an enrolled participant can submit a written request to the email: learnersupport@snatika.com . Transfer to the immediate next program start date is allowed free of cost only once. Any further transfer incurs batch transfer charges.

Q) How will I receive an acknowledgement of the application once I apply?

All applicants will receive an Acknowledgement Letter via email at all steps starting from application submission to the offer letter. Applicants are requested to respond to such trail emails to keep track of their applications. Applicants can also write to admissions@snatika.com

Q) How will I be notified if accepted?

Acceptance decisions are sent by email with instructions to confirm acceptance along with the offer letter. The admission team will be in touch with you throughout the process.

Q) Who awards the Degree?

The degree is awarded by our partner university for the Masters programs. Please visit your respective program page to know your awarding university.

Q) From where can I get a sample certificate/diploma/degree?

Q) Are mark sheets also given for SNATIKA's Masters program?

Official academic transcripts are your official record and include your program/s of study, the units you have undertaken, the grade achieved for each unit, the credit achieved for each unit, your cumulative credits, and the date your award was conferred. Learners who wish to pursue their Doctorate/ PhD need to provide the admission committee with a set of documents to support their previous academic qualifications. Q) What is the difference between a PhD and a DBA?

A PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) is a traditional academic doctorate that focuses on generating original theoretical knowledge in a specific field. It is typically research-heavy and aimed at those who wish to contribute to scholarly literature, teach in universities, or pursue research careers. PhD programs are usually full-time, involve rigorous theoretical work, and culminate in a dissertation that advances academic thought.

In contrast, a DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) is a professional doctorate designed for senior professionals, executives, and consultants. Rather than developing abstract theories, the DBA focuses on applying research to solve real-world business problems. Learners conduct applied research that contributes practical solutions and insights to management, strategy, leadership, or operations. The DBA is often pursued part-time and is flexible enough to suit working professionals.

Both are doctoral-level qualifications and award the title “Doctor” (Dr.) but they serve different career purposes—academic vs. applied leadership.

Q) Is a DBA equal in level to a PhD ?

Yes, the DBA is academically equivalent to a PhD. Both are classified as Level 8 qualifications under the European Qualifications Framework and other global systems. The difference lies not in status or rigour, but in focus. The PhD is oriented toward theoretical development and academic research, while the DBA emphasizes the application of research to real business challenges. The DBA is assessed with the same level of academic integrity, requiring a doctoral dissertation and original contribution to knowledge—but with a strong emphasis on industry impact and business utility.

Q) What is a Doctorate in Education (D.Ed or Ed.D), and how is it different from a PhD in Education?

The D.Ed (Doctor of Education), also known as Ed.D, is a professional doctorate tailored for education leaders, school administrators, policymakers, and curriculum designers who aim to implement change in educational institutions or systems. It focuses on applying research to solve practical educational challenges, such as school leadership, teacher training, student engagement, or education policy reform.

In contrast, a PhD in Education is more academic in nature, often pursued by those who wish to conduct theoretical research and contribute to scholarly knowledge in pedagogy, learning theory, or education philosophy. While both lead to the title “Doctor,” the D.Ed prepares you for leadership and organisational change, whereas the PhD prepares you for academic research and university teaching.

Q) Who should pursue a D.AI (Doctorate in Artificial Intelligence)?

D.AI is ideal for experienced professionals working in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, or related fields who want to lead innovation, shape AI policy, or design cutting-edge AI applications. This program is tailored for technologists, R&D leaders, and AI strategists seeking to apply advanced research in solving complex problems in automation, NLP, robotics, deep learning, and ethical AI.

Unlike a traditional PhD in Computer Science, the D.AI balances research with real-world implementation. Learners often work on dissertation topics that solve pressing problems in healthcare AI, autonomous systems, finance automation, or social impact. It’s best suited for those who want to stay in industry while gaining the depth and credibility of a doctoral qualification.

Q) How is a D.CyberSec different from a PhD in Cybersecurity or IT?

D.CyberSec (Doctorate in Cybersecurity) is a professional doctorate focused on the practical application of cybersecurity knowledge to real-world systems. It prepares learners to lead in areas like risk governance, ethical hacking, cloud security, cryptography, compliance, and digital forensics. This program is ideal for CISOs, IT leaders, and digital risk professionals who want to research and implement solutions within active organisations.

By contrast, a PhD in Cybersecurity is more theoretical and academic. It often explores deep technical or mathematical models, algorithmic theory, or cryptographic frameworks. While both are doctoral-level programs, the D.CyberSec is designed for those actively engaged in digital infrastructure protection, national security, or enterprise-level cybersecurity architecture.

Q) Can I use the title “Doctor” after completing a DBA, D.AI, D.Ed, or D.CyberSec?

Yes. All of these programs—DBA, D.AI, D.CyberSec, D.Ed—are doctoral qualifications. Upon successful completion, graduates are entitled to use the academic title “Dr.” in professional and academic contexts, just as a PhD holder would.

Q) Are these programs recognised internationally?

Yes. All doctorate programs offered through SNATIKA and awarded by Barcelona Technology School (BTS), Spain, are recognised under the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). They are classified at Level 8 under the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and meet global standards for doctoral-level education. Graduates are eligible to pursue academic recognition, employment, and further research in most countries worldwide.

Q) Which doctorate is right for me—PhD, DBA, D.AI, D.Ed, or D.CyberSec?

It depends on your career goals:

- PhD: Ideal for academic or research-based careers.

- DBA: Perfect for business professionals aiming to lead innovation or organisational change.

- D.AI: Best for AI experts wanting to lead industry R&D or policy innovation.

- D.CyberSec: For cybersecurity professionals aiming to build secure digital ecosystems or influence cyber policy.

- D.Ed: For education leaders seeking to reform systems, improve instruction, or shape policy.

All lead to doctoral qualifications, but your intent—academic vs applied—should guide your choice.

Q) Are all these programs offered online?

Yes. All doctoral programs delivered by SNATIKA are fully online and 100% assignment-based. There are no exams. You can complete your coursework and research flexibly while continuing your full-time professional role. This model is designed to serve the needs of working executives and professionals globally.

Q) How long does it take to complete a doctorate program with SNATIKA?

Each program is designed to be completed in 36 months (3 years). The first stage includes coursework (typically 8 units), and the second stage is focused on dissertation research (40,000–60,000 words). However, learners may accelerate or extend their timelines depending on progress and personal schedules.

Q) Can I switch from a DBA to a PhD later if I want to pursue an academic career?

While both are doctoral-level programs, a DBA is focused on applied research and business impact, whereas a PhD emphasizes theoretical contribution. Switching is uncommon mid-way, but as your DBA dissertation involves strong theoretical frameworks, it can support post-doctoral research or teaching. However, you may still need to pursue post-doctoral work or publish academic papers to be competitive for full-time academic roles.

Q) Will I be able to teach at a university after completing a DBA, D.AI, or D.CyberSec?

Yes — many universities, especially business schools and applied technology institutes, welcome professionals with professional doctorates to teach courses in their areas of expertise. While some research-intensive universities may prefer PhD holders for tenure-track roles, a DBA or similar doctorate is highly valued in executive education, adjunct roles, or practice-based teaching.

Q) How is research evaluated in doctorates like the DBA or D.AI?

Research in professional doctorates is evaluated based on its practical application, originality, and contribution to real-world practice. Your dissertation will involve critical analysis, academic rigour, and methodological soundness—just like a PhD—but it will focus more on solving organisational or societal problems rather than building theory alone.

Q) Are there any residency or immersion requirements in SNATIKA’s doctoral programs?

No, SNATIKA’s doctoral programs are fully online and asynchronous. However, optional immersion opportunities such as convocations are available at the BTS campus in Barcelona, Spain. These are entirely voluntary and serve to enhance peer networking and global exposure.

Q) Are all SNATIKA doctorates equally rigorous?

Yes. Regardless of the specialisation—whether DBA, D.AI, D.CyberSec, or D.Ed—all SNATIKA doctoral programs follow a uniform academic framework, including 90 ECTS credits in Stage 1 and a 280 ECTS credit dissertation in Stage 2. The rigor lies in the depth of research, academic standards, and the requirement to produce a 40,000–60,000-word dissertation.

Q) How much work experience is needed to apply for a DBA or other professional doctorate?

Typically, you need at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in your domain (e.g., business, AI, cybersecurity, education). This is to ensure that learners can draw on real-life challenges in their applied research. Academic qualifications (usually a master’s degree) and a Statement of Purpose are also required.

Q) Is the D.AI or D.CyberSec suitable for professionals without a technical degree?

It depends on your experience. While technical degrees are helpful, extensive practical experience in AI, data science, or cybersecurity may compensate. Applicants without a technical master’s degree but with strong project portfolios, certifications, and a clear research vision may still qualify after academic review and an interview.

Q) Do I need to publish my research to complete a professional doctorate?

No. Unlike some traditional PhD programs, publication is not a mandatory requirement to complete a DBA, D.Ed, D.AI, or D.CyberSec at SNATIKA. However, learners are encouraged to publish their work to enhance their academic profile and industry impact. Guidance on academic publishing may be offered as part of dissertation support.

Q) Can I complete the doctorate faster than 3 years?

While the standard duration is 36 months, learners with strong academic discipline or advanced prior knowledge (e.g., via RPEL) may complete the program in as little as 24 months. However, this depends on individual pace, assignment completion, and dissertation progress.

Q) What kind of support will I receive during the dissertation stage?

You’ll be assigned a doctoral mentor/supervisor who will guide you through research design, literature review, data collection, analysis, and writing. SNATIKA also provides research templates, academic writing tools, and structured phase-wise guidance to help you stay on track during your 40,000–60,000-word dissertation journey.
